  • Cassette + Digital Album

We have a single copy of the original (approved) test tape from the manufacturing process of 'Infinite Universe Infinite Death' featuring the intended tape design which was a metallic blue liner in a clear shell. Since they ran out of the variant during the manufacturing process (only two were dubbed with the original design), we had to switch to a deep blue shell instead. The tape comes marked with the project number in a plastic case, includes a download code for the album, and I will include a plastic case + custom printed liner. All items ship first class/priority USPS, no media mail.

Includes unlimited streaming of Infinite Universe Infinite Death via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

  • Ultra Limited "Cosmic Knot" Cassette Tape Variant
    Cassette + Digital Album

A total of two copies of the cassette tape edition of 'Infinite Universe Infinite Death' were pressed with the original intended cassette tape shell color, a metallic blue liner in a clear shell, before the manufacturer ran out and had to change the color for the full 50 to a deep translucent blue. This version is my (Spirit Coffin Publishing's) intended design for the tape but instead of being sentimental about these two copies of "what should've been" we are releasing them into the aether as two of a kind collectible items.

This item includes all of the same packaging and music included in the original version otherwise. Clear plastic shell with a translucent blue back. Download code + letter of authenticity included with purchase.

Includes unlimited streaming of Infinite Universe Infinite Death via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

I wish for a way to leave this place A vehicle that can travel through time and space Take me to an alien land No humanity away from man Among the stars I journey alone No direction, a place unknown To take me away far from here What lies beyond I have no fear Take me to an alien land No humanity away from man Among the stars I journey alone No direction, a place unknown Past our planets Past the belt Past the cloud Where the stars have dwelt Then leave the plane Of the Milky Way The local cluster I break away To live and to die Out there in space Away from all life Away from disgrace Through gas and dust This journey’s a must My wanderlust Traveling through The cosmic brew Make life anew Amongst the objects drifting for ages Where plasma and gas forever rages I will find my place in the universe The song of the cosmos will be my verse I wish for a way to leave this place A vehicle that can travel through time and space Take me to an alien land No humanity away from man Among the stars I journey alone No direction, a place unknown

I look out on the night sky So vast and deep I wonder why All the violence others don’t decry Their destiny I will defy Soon to be a memory My despair They will find I’ve left behind My disrepair Packed up ready to embark Leave here without a mark On my own personal ark Searching for a spark Time to fly into the sky The life I yearn Into space with a hastened pace Never to return Faster and faster I fall into the abyss Will I survive this fateful trip? Coming out the other side Passing through the great divide To seek a place of tranquility Find a world without hostility Time after time Grief left behind Searching for life Nothing but strife A life in vain All life in pain I started with hope in sight To find a world where love is might Only for my dreams to perish There's no life to cherish Expect too much you’ll feel the touch Of dismay The universe is averse To serenity

Cosmic Knot 04:43
I wonder deeply about existence About what it means to be alive A complex series of events Leads to a universe that is both dead and alive My thoughts exist in my head Maybe to stay but likely to wisp away Are the motions and actions Thoughts and ideas of the cosmos holograms? A preprogrammed eternity Or does there exist true randomness? Do we have a future that does not yet exist? As we travel through space We must travel through time The secret laws of nature Do not need to be divine Each moment we live Is a moment that’s gone A memory now past To reflect upon What’s the point of having a future? If it’s only to die? Is it worth the brief bit of happiness If it means having to cry On the line of infinity Our lives are only a dot Entangled in the fabric of space Everything lost in a knot I wonder deeply about existence About what it means to be alive A complex series of events Leads to a universe that is both dead and alive My thoughts exist in my head Maybe to stay but likely to wisp away

Infinitely dense, no dimension No surroundings, no extension After nothing , before something Expansion started, energy gushing What was before? Was it eternally dark? Or is time cyclic Without a start? In an instant the universe started Did it happen before? Or was this uncharted? Many years later particles condensed Out of nothing matter was dispensed What was before? Was it eternally dark? Or is time cyclic Without a start? A canvas of infinity With particle affinity Fields of force pervade all space Pushing matter at a hastened pace Each atom each particle From the beginning Has existed in our world Where did it exist before? How is there space? How is there matter? How does anything exist at all? We cannot comprehend nothing A single point to a giant sphere 14 billion years to make it here What was before? Was it eternally dark? Or is time cyclic Without a start? Astronomical nomenclature Try to define forces of nature Try to explain by formula Mysterious phenomena Everything we experience Everything we see Is nothing more Than our perception A limited narrow view Of an infinite universe Incomprehensible To our minds But it does not stop me From wondering how it came to be To look into the eyes of eternity Let my mind wander to be free

There is no next time around No second chances are abound No way to make up what you regret For things only death lets you forget Behind your life an infinite tree What could have been you'll never see There's no way to repeat your existence Life does not have eternal persistence Throughout your life the decisions you make Put the rest of your life at stake Behind your life an infinite tree What could have been you'll never see You will not get another chance To live a different dance Living only for an instant In a moment you're nonexistent Life's not fair But who's to care? For it's all your Burden to bare Never seeing Never feeling Never hearing Never knowing What the future will end up being You do not get the right to see All the knowledge that is to be To find answers to the questions That contradict our perceptions No one to blame No one to resent No one to accuse No one to hate For making our life be this way To worry about what is after There is only one true answer To live your life as you see fit Because in the end this is it

Entanglement 04:49
There are constants in the universe Death, suffering, sadness, and pain All other beings cannot refrain Somewhere out there some feel despair Experience all sentient life share The start of life in the universe Implies that life must always disperse A billion light years across the sky A tragedy has made someone cry A billion times for every moment A being goes through endless torment Life requires destruction For some life to succeed other life has to fail Misery is built into the fabric of life and of death I can see across galaxies I can know across vast distances I can feel across space and time I can tell what existence is I know what all life thinks I know what all life feels I know what all life experiences I know what life reveals I weep for life everywhere For the amount of the pain there Continuous events that make life tragic Never ending always traumatic The universe does not care if there is strife Maybe it would be better if there were no life Across the vast expanse of both time and space For all life to no longer exist someplace

about

"A culmination of over 30 years of songwriting, the third release by Journey Into Darkness will engross the listener with the deep expanse of space and have them wondering why anything exists.

Built on a base of symphonic black death metal (and a slight touch of doom), Brett Clarin’s (Apparition, Sorrow) deep roots blend together to create dark and intense melodies.

The nihilistic themes explored in the last album are continued here with topics ranging from the wonder and absurdity of the universe, to its inherent cruelty and indifference. The listener is encouraged to read the lyrics to enhance the listening experience."
